Phase 1: Assessment
To start you off on the program, you will schedule an Initial Acne Solution Program 101 Appointment. During this appointment, your skin will be assessed to confirm what products are best suited to clear your acne. We will also review your dietary and lifestyle habits, educating you on the best practices to follow over the course of the next 3 months to help alleviate your acne issues. If you scheduled the In-Person Appointment, we will conduct a skin test and acne treatment
The following is included in your Acne Solution Program 101 Appointment:
- Review Your Acne Intake Form: A thorough review of your submitted Intake Form.
- Acne Solution Guide: Review the Face Five Acne Solutions Guide, which includes tips and tricks around lifestyle, food, supplements, and more.
- Acne Nutrition Journey: We will discuss your diet and potential acne triggers for initial analysis, and then provide our Daily Food Journal. You will complete this over the course of the following two weeks.
- Supplement Recommendations: Personalized suggestions for supplements to support your skin health.
- Skin Review: Analyze your skin type and conduct a skin test to cross-reference with our catalog of products that will best match your skin type.
- Full Skincare Product Recommendation: A personalized list of our recommended initial skincare products, which you can purchase at a 10% discount if you purchase a follow-up appointment package! (more details below)
- Home Care Routine Instructions: Guidance on how to care for your skin over the next two weeks, prior to your next appointment.

Note: New clients should stop using any topical antibiotics or retinol creams two weeks before the skin test. If you are on Accutane, you must discontinue use at least two months before starting our program. Pregnant or nursing clients need their doctor’s approval before beginning the program.

Follow-Up Appointments
Following your Initial Acne Solution Program 101 Appointment, we will meet with you every two weeks to assess your skin and make necessary adjustments to your home care routine and diet. Our goal is to continuously improve your skin’s health until you’re acne-free. Everyone’s skin is different, but the majority of our clients achieve clear skin in three months, which equates to six follow-up appointments every two weeks. We offer different types of follow-up appointments based on your acne requirements, budget, and preferences. Naturally, if you are participating in our Virtual Program, you won’t be able to utilize our in-person services, but we will still check in with you bi-weekly with a Virtual Appointment.
You can decide during your Initial Acne Solution Program 101 Appointment which service type is the best fit for you. Appointments can be paid for separately as you attend them or purchased upfront as a package for a discount. Daily Topical Product Regiment
In order to participate in the Acne Solution Program, you must also purchase the necessary Face Five products outlined by your Acne Specialist. Face Five products are toxic-free and acne-safe, and ensure that our Acne Specialists know exactly what is being applied to your skin over the course of the program for the best results.
We recommend customers budget between $400-$600 for products in addition to the follow-up appointments to make it through the entire program. The recommended assortment of products varies based on your unique skin type. We will provide you with a custom routine based on a skin test at your Initial Acne Solution Program 101 Appointment.

Phase 3: Clear Skin & Maintenance
After your acne is officially cleared, your acne specialist will graduate you from our program. Though your acne journey is still not over and new acne triggers may arise, we may no longer recommend bi-weekly check-ins to clear your skin. Many of our graduated clients still come in for treatments on a monthly basis. It will be important for you to continue with your newly formed product regimen, diet, and lifestyle changes to remain acne-free.

Yuki will first analyze the skin type you have, so she can provide the best fit of skincare products for you, it's not a one-size-fits-all procedure, as everyone's skin is different, she will personalize it for you. I had highly sensitive and dry combination skin, and was accommodated and advised for that.
She is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of lifestyle information that can contribute to acne, and advice on what to do, to reduce the chance of acne coming back on the face - everything from detailed diet breakdown, stress, hormones, chemicals to avoid in shampoos and body washes, shaving properly (I switched from a five blade to single blade razor, which makes a world of difference, I get a cleaner shave out of it and now I will never go back to those razors.) after being advised on what to do with my skin, and how to better take care of it. I was impressed with how heavily researched and detailed the chemicals and regimen were, and I saw meaningful and effective results when I stuck to her recommended daily skincare routine tightly.
I saw Fiona at first, since Yuki was fully booked at the time, but later had sessions with Yuki. Yuki herself is kind and easy to talk to, and very helpful with advice. How much does it cost to start your program?
Your first appointment will be our Acne Solution Program 101 (ASP101). An In-Clinic visit is $149, and a Virtual Appointment is $98. Your first round of products is typically $215–$275, lasting around 6-8 weeks.
What can I expect after my first appointment?
After your initial ASP 101 appointment, we will see you every two weeks for either a Full Face Treatment ($98) or an Express Face Treatment ($79). We also offer packages of 6 to get you through the initial three months of the program.

What kind of services do you offer?
We offer an Acne Solution Program, which is designed to treat and clear acne in about 90 days. We also offer Body Treatments, Microneeding Treatments, Anti-Aging Facials, Acne Facials, and Hydro-Glow Treatments.
How long before I see results?
Acne can take up to 90 days to form, and most of our clients see clear skin in about 90 days. Please know that not every client is the same, and some might see results quicker or slower than others.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, we do! They are available for purchase in our online store or at our clinic in person.
What kind of chemical peels do you use?
Our Chemical Peels are a blend of Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid, and Trichloracetic Acid (TCA). The percentage of acids in these chemical peels is designed for gentle exfoliation.
Are there things I should avoid after the chemical peel treatment?
Please avoid getting your skin wet for 4-6 hours after the chemical peel. Avoid direct sun exposure, extreme heat, working out, and sweating for 24 hours post-treatment.
Why do I have to use Face Five Skincare products?
We cannot guarantee results if you use other products. Non-Comedogenic ingredients are not FDA-regulated, therefore, companies can claim that their products are acne-safe even if they include clogging ingredients. Other skincare lines might also use ingredients that can interfere with Face Five Skincare, causing skin irritation. This is not a concern with Face Five Skincare, as we have control over every ingredient in our products.
How do you handle different levels of acne?
We understand that not everyone’s skin has the same problems or will react the same way to products. During your first appointment, we will conduct a skin test to determine which strength of products your skin will tolerate. We will identify the specific type of acne you have, as well as any “acne impostors,” and make sure that we select the products with the ingredients that will be most beneficial to you.
Do you offer any services to reduce acne scarring?
Yes. Our Acne Solution Program addresses acne scar treatment from the beginning. Your homecare products and in-clinic treatments are designed to get your acne under control and get rid of acne scars quickly. We also offer Microneedling services for those who have severe acne scars requiring more attention.
What if I live out of town or can't make in-clinic appointments?
We offer Virtual Free Consultations, a Virtual Acne Solution Program, and we also offer Virtual Check-ins for established clients. You will still need to continue your home care regimen!
What happens once my acne is clear?
There is no permanent cure for acne. Once your skin is clear, you will still need to follow your home care routine to prevent future breakouts from forming. We also recommend coming in for treatments every 6-8 weeks to maintain the best skin possible.
What is the difference between chemical and mineral sunscreen?
Chemical sunscreen absorbs into the skin and reacts with the UV rays; this can cause toxins to dump into your bloodstream, creating hormone disruptors. We do not recommend it for clients who are pregnant or nursing.
Mineral sunscreen forms a barrier on the surface of your skin, which helps reflect UV rays without penetrating your skin. We prefer using Mineral Sunscreen for acne-prone skin due to its gentleness, effectiveness, and calming abilities.
Do you accept health insurance?
No, we do not work with health insurance companies. FSA/HSA is accepted. Please check with your company before scheduling an appointment.
Do you offer acne-safe makeup?
We do not carry makeup products. We do have a list of acne-safe cosmetics available on our Pinterest page.
